I am just wondering if anyone has set one of these up in this configuration, or has the means to test it.
The current setup is 2 Astro Spectras set up on one W9 head with HRR enabled, along with a motorola siren amp attached to the primary radio.
I was wondering if anyone has set up a VRS750 on a setup like this or know if it will work? We currently don't have the VRS750s, but don't want to buy them if they won't work.
I am not sure if the VRS750 would be hooked up to the 2nd port on the HRR radio, or a splitter cable would be needed (if there even is one, like for the VRS-EP) to split the 2nd port on the primary radio to the Siren amp and the VRS...
Any help would be great

Re: VRS750, Astro Spectra, Siren & HRR
I'm just waking up, so this answer may change...
I think the VRS would function, but it would only be one way. The 2nd radio RX's only. I'll admit that I haven't tried it with a VRS, but every possible thing I could do to get the 2nd radio to transmit, it will not. Its a firmware limitation. That's if you needed audio to go both ways from the 2nd radio.
There should be "T" cables to allow a VRS and a siren to come off of just one radio, but I can't think of the part numbers off hand...or at least there was a combo VRS/Siren box (I think) but it may have been for the X9000's.
Either way, the 2nd radio will do everything that the primary radio will do, but TX. For every purpose, its a "single radio" that just shares the control head and nothing else.

Re: VRS750, Astro Spectra, Siren & HRR
Yea, it looks like I would need the VRS750/Siren T Cable to hook them both up to the primary radio, after hooking a VRS-EP up to the secondary radio, it transmits the second radio opposed to the primary which is what I wanted.
does anyone happen to know if there is a T cable for the VRS750/Siren to the Astro Spectra?

Re: VRS750, Astro Spectra, Siren & HRR
I am 99% sure that most of the Spectra cables for these options should work with the ASTRO Spectra's. You might want to check batlabs.com and Mike B's site for part numbers.
I have not used either the VRS or Siren boxes in a long time. I'll also track down a VRS/Siren manual and see what part numbers might be lurking in there.
