Motorola Minitor Reed question

Does anyone out there know how to convert the wide 2nd gen minitor 1 (NLN8503A) reeds to use in a Minitor 2 (like NLN7834A) reeds? I have used these before and they work.

I'd be worried about anything rigged like that in public safety service. If you're interested, I do have a bunch of reeds left over from my own Minitor II project for sale at a decent price. PM me if you're interested.
