XTS-2500 Broken flex connector on RF board

Post by rodell »

I have an XTS2500 with a broken flex connector on the main board (the one to the speaker/buttons). The small pieces that hold in the "lid" have broken off. Does anyone have the equipment/tools/parts to replace this connector? I'm not keen on the depot as it probably won't come back the way I want it. I may be able to get a surface mount tech to change it.

If I can find the part number, I will order the connector (or five!).

Thoughts? Any tricks?

Bob
