I have a Jedi chassis with the battery clips broke and have a replacement chassis, but it does not have the SMA male connector installed How do you remove the SMA connector on a Jedi chassis?

They come with the antenna connector when ordered as new from Motorola. I assume your replacement chassis is used? The SMA is not meant to come out. Early models had a problem with the SMA connector eventually working it's way loose & falling out. Newer models had a set pin on the side to fix that. In short, you really need another chassis with the SMA included.

Re: SMA Connector on JEDI chassis (rear cover)
the newer rear chassis also require a slight modification of older RF boards to fit properly as they also reinforced the pin inside that centers the RF board to keep it from breaking off when the radio is dropped on a certain plane that puts stress on the chassis.

Re: SMA Connector on JEDI chassis (rear cover)
I have the tool/staking jig to put the SMA connector in the chassis. But a new chassis is a better way to go.
Re: SMA Connector on JEDI chassis (rear cover)
The 'jig' I use is a vice, with the SMA connector 'teeth' slightly offset...works great! However, getting the SMA out of a chassis is not as simple. If he had a separate SMA, it would be a suggestion. Will wrote:I have the tool/staking jig to put the SMA connector in the chassis. But a new chassis is a better way to go.
