My gut instinct is that it's a spur frequency but I don't have my manual handy to confirm

There are some frequencies, you can´t use. These frequencies are distorted by the internal cpu/display clock.

Ray - not sure if this will help but try it anyway.

Create a conventional personality with all the parameters you want.

In the RX tab of this personality set it as mixed mode.

Assign this personality to this zone/channel you are trying to program.

I have seen this before and I think it may be a cps and firmware bugaboo
but not sure if it applies to your radios.

Ler us know if this works please.

are you sure it's a legal frequency?

The Astro software doesn't seem to take anything ending with .9925, and FCC database searches return no license results for a number of 450 freqs ending in that that I've tried.

Curiously, both Pro Series and Commercial Series CPS allow entry of this freq. I also did a search of all freqs from 469.99 to 470 here in California and there are no licenses. I am guessing the Expert Series guys know something that the lower tier guys don't :)

actually if you buy a new ht1250 or 750 in that range that is one of the default frequencies that i've seen come in the radio from the factory. and if you open up the default codeplugs that come with the ht/cdm cps that frequency is in the codeplug for the only personality

jackhackett & escomm are both correct. "469.9925" is not on a valid channel boundary.

surprised i did not notice that. good catch fellas...

Waris series radios were all made with domestic and import boards, they are the same, the XT series is FCC domestic only, thats what I can gather so far.

If the lights are out when you leave the station and then come on the second you key up, you know you have enough power.

Doubt that is it, foreign equivalent of the 5k is a 4250 and there is a 2250 equivalent to the 2500. See http://www.motorola.com/governmentanden ... S42-PS.pdf and http://www.motorola.com/business/XL-EN/ ... 06b00aRCRD . Best I can tell they use the same tanapas although of course the actual imue or pmue will be different

Although the CP series has its foreign equivalents as well, I am thinking it really comes down to the software engineers that write CPS. This is why the definition of a personality is ever changing. Take a look at the PR860. It's a Waris radio but it has CPS that feels more like Commercial Series. And it's because the team that wrote Commercial series (which is here in the States ) also wrote it for the PR860, and the Pro Series team (which is now in China, although I think originally it was in Germany) didn't get a chance to screw the pooch on yet another project

I still think it's just engineers with different levels of background knowledge contributing to the build
