Model Number Help

Post by Tony.RI »

Well, I've found an HT1000 for sale on eBay, but the listing says the model number is H0KDHA9AA3CN. This does not comply with the standard Jedi model number convention and is likely a typo, but when I'm trying to figure out what the original model number was, (at first glance it looks like H01KDH9AA3CN,) it still doesn't make any sense. I'm going to buy it anyway since the price is right and I'll post it here when I get it in my hands, but I just thought I'd ask if it makes any sense to you experts.

It's got to be H01KDC9AA3CN...

H01KDH would indicate a full keypad w/display, and an HT1000 was never offered with that combo. They only came in no keypad/no display, or with a keypad only.

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

If I understand the model convention correctly, wouldn't a DTMF HT1000 be KDG?

Anyway, I guess I just wanted to see if there is any KDH Jedi with that rest of the model number. (9AA3CN)

The HT1000 was never designed to have the keypad in the model number. In fact one can turn on and off the DTMF keypad at will if you know the correct keystrokes in any BN or greater radio using RSS version 3.01 or higher (might even be lower versions) So no you will never find a KDG or UCG etc out there for the HT1000. However the JT1000 model numbers would have H01KDH9AA3AN I believe (haven't seen one in like 3.5 years) and those would have both a full standard keypad and display.

That's why I bought it, because there's a very small chance it's actually a JT1000, though their correct model number would be H01KDH9PA3_N.
