XTL 5000 Rear Accessory plug

Post by jaydistefano »

Does anyone know an alternate part # for the pins used in rear accessory plug of the XTL 5000. This plug mates with J2 rear accessory jack on the radio.
The motorola part # for the pins 3980034F01.
Was wondering if there is another supplier that carries these.

I am wondering about this as well...
I tried some standard crimp-style db-9 pins, but they are too long, and don't fit the connector properly. The db-9 pins just pull right back out.
Anyone know of a source other than Motorola for the pins, or even a name/style for the pins, so I might see about sourcing them locally? If I can avoid the wait and the expense from purchasing direct from Motorola, I'd prefer it. Supporting local businesses would also be a plus.

-Thanks,
