Re: Motorola spectra VRS P2017B
fire22,
I'm assuming you have a non-astro spectra. The VRS (P2017B) was designed to work with Astro Spectras and is crystal controlled via the R-Net radio inside. These are 300 mW and the freq range is 403-470MHz. If you have it, look inside to determine what type of R-net radio you have and it will determine what the exact freq split VRS you have:
HLE9316 403-416 MHz
HLE9317 416-430 MHz
HLE9019 450-470 MHz
It might be easier, and a heck alot cheaper to find a used Pyramid repeater on ebay and interface it to the Spectra. The software can be downloaded on thier webpage and they can be programmed via the Vertex VPL-1 programming cable.
