XTS3000 Problem

Post by VFN137 »

I recently purchased a used XTS3000 VHF Model I. It powers up fine and takes programming. The problem is it doesn't rx or tx anything. Red light illuminates while transmitting but no transmissions are heard. Tried a couple diff antennas without any change. Also does not have an RF adapter. Could it have a bad RF deck? Haven't opened it and it just dawned on me to try another housing. If not, any thoughts?

Thanks

Tried another housing with no change. Still have audio from the speaker but not recieving any transmissions. Checked the programming and as best as I can tell, it matches my other radios. Could it me the rf deck?

I would put it on a service monitor, jumping right to the RF board might be premature.
