Will XTS2500 flashcode 50000-000488-2 do analog smartzone?

Post by wolfezone »

Will this XTS2500 flashcode 50000-000488-2 do analog or mixed-mode smartzone with 3600 baud control channel?
Breakdown of flash shows on radioreference as:
Q806/G806 IMBE / APCO-25 Digital Operation
H14/G114 Digital ID Display
Q173/G173 Smartzone OmniLink Operation
Q361/G361 Digital APCO-25 IMBE Trunking (9600kb Control)
1B4 Future System Enhancement

I want to buy one of these but I think (am not sure) that I need an H3_ conventional option for radio to do what I mention on the top line of this post?
I don't have any conventional analog requirements, only smartzone digital/analog.

Many thanks to anyone who has a moment to let me know--Mark N3OBS

The flashcode you posted is incomplete, and the RadioReference flashcode decoder is woefully out of date. I'm assuming what you meant to post is 500008-000488-2:

Q806 ASTRO Digital Operation
H14 Enhanced Digital ID Display
H38 SMARTZONE Systems Operation
Q173 SMARTZONE OMNILINK Multizone Operation
Q361 ASTRO 25 9600 Baud Trunking
Q574 9600 Baud Trunking

Thanks and evidently the flashcode I was given is incorrect; thanks for the info about obsolescence of the radioreference decoder & I'll look for another online. Assuming the flashcode in your reply (with 8 supplanting the erroneous zero,) would that in fact allow for mixed-mode smartzone w/3600 baud CC "ready to go," or would I need to buy a flash upgrade? Many Thanks--Mark

I believe for the XTS2500 you would need to purchase "Q575 3600 Analog or Digital Baud Trunking" and "Q883 3600/9600 Interoperability" in order to have any 3600 capability with the current flashcode.

What radios do you own?: XTS5000, APX2000

The decoder I always use is the one below. You have the ability to select what platform the flashcode is for.
