w7 head and a w9 astro spectra ?

Question is, how will a w9 astro spectra act if a w7 head is installed on it. I know its not proper, but will it function well enough to test the radio?

Second question, is an analog spectra/ spectra e a7 control head remote kit compatable with a w7 head, as far as the board, rear plastic etc.

It should operate well enough to bench check it. I've got a spare W9 head that I keep on the bench and have tested W4/W5/W7 with it with decent enough results.

Don't try a W3, however... totally different animal.

The head itself is not, but the housings and cables are. (Using the newer kit w/ HKN4356 cable, I haven't tried the older style...)
