Zone not wanting to be programmed.

Post by dave44 »

Hello and thank you for your help.

One of our HT750 radios will not allow the channel 2 position to be programmed (I'm currently using 8 of the 16 channels). Instead, what-ever is programmed into channel 1 TX's and RX's on channel 2, and all other programmed zones get shifted up one channel. I Tried deleting all zones and programming except channel 1 and it STILL has the same problem (should have been tone on channel 2 but instead the freq. from channel 1 operates on the channel).

What's more, as soon as I dial past all programmed channels and hit an unprogrammed channel, it resets the radio and the radio operates normally until channel 1 is selected, then the same problem as above happens. Is this something that can be fixed through programming (currently using CPS R06.09.06), a repair, or does it look like this radio gets sent to Motorola Depot?

Thank you again for any help!

I believe you have a defect in the binary coder in your channel select switch.

Thank you for the response! Is this something that can be remedied by replacing the channel select switch?
