Greetings to the Group
I have a Purc 5000 paging transmitter that I am trying to convert to 900mhz. I have a code plug prom burned for it but I have not installed it yet. I don't have much documentation on it. And what I have been able to find here and on other parts of the internet is mostly based on the MSF 5000. What I do have is the model # C85JLB1106ASP02
the purc control board # TLN2774A03, Tone Remote Control Board # TLN2775A05, there is a 3rd large board that I could not find any number on, and 2 PA'S model 1242 and 1212.
If any one can help with any documentation or experience it would be muchly appreciated.

Re: Purc 5000
Although I've never played with a 900purc station I have had dealings with uhf purcs. The main thing that I have found is usually the uni-board does not have the support circuitry for the receiver section.(the tx was tripped with phone lines) You may get lucky and it will all be intact. The uni-board is the large board in the rf tray probably some where around 6" by 12" at the front of the station. The receiver section is on the left side. The receive vco is in the back left corner of the tray. with any luck the rf gods will smile on you and it will be intact. Post your findings and we'll take it from there

Hi Randy,
Although this post is a bit old, I'm wondering if you're still in need of information for your PURC station? I also have one, a C85JLB1106A/C197AFSP. It would seem that the two stations are very similar, though those "SP" designations can mean just about anything and I've never found anyone who can define them. I also have the manual for my station (it's about 2-1/2" thick and also covers all (I think) of the options that were available for that station. While it's not practical to scan the entire manual (no doubt a multi-week job), perhaps I can get you enough information to help out somewhat. The hard part would be the 20+ inch pages that need to be closely aligned so they can be spliced back together. If you still want/need information, contact me directly at tallinson2 <<at>> yahoo <<dot>> com. From what you wrote, you've overcome an obstacle that I've yet to solve so, perhaps, we can swap information.
