Astro25 displaying received unit ID question

Post by VSP5151 »

We are using Astro Spectra radios and I am adding an Astro25 mobile to the group. I can not make the Astro25 mobile display the unit number of the vehicle it is receiving but all the Astro Spectra's show the unit ID. This is the Astro ID as programmed into the older radios. What am I missing in my Astro25 programming?

Does you flashcode contain the h14 digital id display option. It should begin with a 4 or 5 if it does. There are some other checkboxes as well under radio configuration/ display and menu ptt id.

How do you get the flashcode on an Astro25? I don't have any books on this and could not find it on the internet. Thanks!

It should be on the ID tag of the radio. I am guessing these are totally legit units so it should be there.

Thats not going to display the ID until it is flashed with the H14 Digital ID Display option. It costs around $75 per unit when ordered new. Don't know about when its added later on. Should be around the same cost.

Thanks for the info. I assumed the person ordering our Astro25 radios used the same specifications as used for our Astro Spectra radios but........ Thanks again!
