XTL5000 O5 nb Removal

Post by fail999 »

H,
I'm replacing the front housing on a O5 XTL control head. I have not been able to find any information on how to remove the two knobs from their respective controls. Tried the XTL service manual and the O5 head service manual, no help. Someone please tell me the right way to remove those knobs.

Thanks,

Well I answered my own question. 8) The knobs are very, very tight on the control shafts. Two very thin knife blades inserted between the knob base and the light pipe underneath the knob allows the knobs to be gently pried off.
