XTVA XTS5000 FPP Question

I am thinking of getting an XTVA convertacom for use with my XTS5000 Model 3 HT. My XTS5000 is flashed for FPP programming with the
front keypad.

If I get an XTVA with a W3 HHCH mike, will I be able to program frequencies into the XTS5000 via the HHCH mike?

Its not working on the XTVA I am using.
The option shows up on the display but you cannot select it.

It doesn't work, even with Q52/Q53 radios. My suspicion is that it's specifically blocked in the radio's firmware.
