Astro Spectra intermiitent err 9/10 problems with siren

Post by jmr061 »

I now have 3 astro spectras that I have attempted to put in service that come up with intermittent err 9/10 issues.

The are all vhf W9 with a siren. They are all host 11 (tested R11.71.xx and R11.10.XX) and still have the same problem. Seems that with the siren hooked up the des ofb/dvp xl modules which are 3.5X will intermittently power up err 9/10 or if they work initially they will sometimes fail when attempting to tx in secure. Sometimes they work fine.

I am at a loss. Several other radios in service are in the same serial # range and don't have the problem. Any ideas?

Has the Astro Spectra UCM fix (SRN1364) been applied to any or all the units in question?

Checked and nothing has to be modified on them.
