Bricked Cdm1550ls+?

Post by redneck_1086 »

While trying to write my Cdm the unit powered off and never turned back on. When I tried to manualy turn it back on it, I heard one short burst of static. I am unable to read/write this radio, it says "unable to get codeplug from the device in order to verify whether we can write to this device or not"...also I tried to read it once and it gave me a "ecec000c : Read from device failed"...What all can I do before I have to send it back to Motorola ?

Thanks,
Aaron

What version of software are you using?

You should try to reflash the radio with the boot loader cable and newest firmware to see if you can recover it.

Trying to READ the radio with 6.11.05 might also help.

I am using 6.09.06 CPS.

When I hit the "write" button I left the room to answer the telephone, when I came back in the radio was off. Is it possible the radio wasnt done programming yet and it just hadnt turned back on, but I interrupted it. If so is the radio fried?

Thanks,
Aaron

First thing to try is putting dc on the ignition sense input along with the main power in case the radio was programmed with ignition sense.

Then try to read the radio again.
