MTX9000 to MT/MTS2000 conversion problem

Post by Josh »

Sup y'all.

A couple days ago I mashed together the right parts from an MTX9000 B7 and HT1000 VHF to make an MT2000 VHF. I put in an MTS2000 codeplug, but I'm not getting some of the features I feel I should... ie MDC1200 call alert encode.

It's all enabled in the RSS and I can send MDC PTT ID and receive MDC call alerts, but the programmed soft key for "page" doesn't appear on my radio (menu option).

The firmware of the radio is R1.37, which indeed is old, but perhaps not too old for an MTX series radio. Is the reason for lack of MDC call alert ability a problem with my radio's firmware, or flashcode perhaps? (all the "flash code" comes up as H35, conventional operation when decoded).

Thanks
-Josh
