Maxtrac 300 volume switch

Post by mlinder81 »

I have a maxtrac 300 with a bad volume switch, is there anyway to bypass the volume side and make it fully loud and still use the on,off part of the switch? Or anybody have a part # for the switch or board. thanks max linder

1. remove the head.
2. locate the 13-pin connector that goes to mic connector/on-off-vol pcb.
3. look for the white & purple cables. If the missing pin on the connector is #3, white is #1 and purple is #2.
4. cut them in a place that allows you to reconnect them easily in the future ,if needed,
and short the two ends that go to the connector - not to the head.
5. put everything back.
