HT1550 System Scan Issues

Hello,

I have sets of channels separated into different zones and scan lists that match those zones. I believed that if I programmed my HT1550 this way, that I would be able to hit the scan button on my radio and have it scan only that zone/scan list (a front panel button is programmed to be System Scan On/Off). However, when I do this, it seems my radio is scanning ALL channels on the radio, not just the ones in the scan list (for example, I see a channel from a different zone pop up in the scan).

Maybe I'm either A) not understanding this correctly and it's actually doing what I've intended or B) I've messed up programming the radio somehow. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience that could help me out?

Sounds like you've created one personality per frequency, then put the single personality into multiple zones. In this case the HT would scan everything as you're seeing. You should:
1. Create as many personalities for a single frequency/set of frequencies as the number of zones that you want them to appear in.
2. Only thing different among this set of personalities would be the scan list to use(depending on which zone you're going to associate that personality with).
3. Then associate each zoned personality with its respective zone, making sure that the scan list associated with that zone contains that personality.

Thank you. You're correct in that assumption -- I have single personalities that correspond to multiple zones. I'll try your advice.
