I just got an XTVA for use with my XTS5000. I would like to utilize the RF output of the XTVA to connect to an amplifier
and antenna. I have a NTN8327A RF switch to put in the antenna jack on the XTS5000.
This seems like it will be an awkward set up though, as if I want to use the XTS5000 as a handheld, the RF switch will
need to be removed using the wrench and then an antenna will have to be put on. I'm used to using a Jedi radio with
an MTVA where the HT can be removed and immediately used.
I was thinking of possibly using a speaker mike with a stubby VHF antenna on the mike, but I like to be able to
use the long VHF wideband antenna.
I mainly would like to get comments from others who use an XTVA about this and if there is any other ways to deal
with the RF switch situation.

Uh, if its the one i'm thinking of, the same as the public safety mics, you unscrew the metal cap on top and screw the antenna onto the top of the rf switch.
Re: XTVA Comments: XTS5000 with RF Switch Adapter
Remove the screw on the top of the RF switch and there's an antenna socket on there.
Re: XTVA Comments: XTS5000 with RF Switch Adapter
Correct, no need to remove the adapter.

Awesome! I'll check out removing the screw when I get home!
Thanks for the replys.
