Post by Batwings21 »

Does anyone know for positive what combination of "an" and "bn" parts work together? Does a bn housing fit a an frame?

The AN housing will fit a BN chassis, if the side metal guides of the BN chassis that stick up on each side are removed.

The BN housing will fit an AN chassis, if the top inside keypad clip holders of the housing are filed down on each side as they are too wide and will cause the sides of the housing to bulge when put on the AN chassis..

So in short, yes they will fit, but you'll have to be creative and destroy some components to get a good fit.. The above info comes from having never tried it of course, "cough cough"... but I don't advised it, both are a pita to retro fit..

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.
