Quantar programing

Post by CARL123 »

I have a lot of trouble with a VHF quantar repeater. It will not stay in the PL that I have programed. It will jump in and out of PL. The last thing that happened was key up in the programed PL, it will go into open sql then key up in the not programed PL it will then go into the correct PL. What could be wrong?

I can only assume that on the Channel information screen, you have the following settings:

Analog Rx Act = S Carrier Squelch (if you have another repeater on this same RF pair, choose "S" here, so that the ID'er
(holds off while someone is using the other repeater. If there isn't another repeater
( on the same RF pair, choose "SC" for this field)

Analog Rptr Activaton = SC - carrier plus the correct RX PL.

Analog Rptr Hold in = SC. Repeater stays on the air with the squelch opened up, plus decode of the proper RX pl.
(how is the squelch set in the repeater? Is it on the edge?

Do you have just a single RF channel programmed into the repeater, or do you have more than one?

Perhaps you can PM me your code plug so I can take a look at it. Without seeing what you have set up there, its
hard to know where to point you.

I'm interested too. I've never had anything like that happen.
