Hello everybody, I have a GP 380 with a codeplug error and I can't recover it.
I have tried flashing upgrade with the most recent firmware.
I have modified my 13-pin cable : I have strapped pin 12 (boot control) on pin 7 (ground) and in this mode the GP 380 prints all pixels on the screen but the Waris lab upgrade tool always says me :
"error downloading bootcode", "radio not in bootstrap mode".
Is everybody understanding anything ? Do somebody have a idea to solve it ?
Thanks !

- What radios do you own?: Most of them! :-)
Re: can't flash GP 380
Your just trying to upgrade it to a new firmware, and not flash a codeplug?
IDK?
Re: can't flash GP 380
to get the code plug error off all you need to do is get yourself a gp380 codeplug and write it to your radio. i hope you saved your tuning software before you started tinkering with it. if not you need to have it re-tuned.

@ dispatcher7586 : Excuse-me but I don't very understand what you mean. Could you explain please ?
@ rydzewski : I had no tuner software and was new in Motorola so I didn't know, I didn't save tuning data...

Try the group at this link - they work with the GP 380:
http://forum.motorola-radio-support.co. ... board=31.0
You can also find posts in this forum on how to force codeplugs into a radio. As far as a codeplug goes, any codeplug other than the one that was originally in the radio could be a problem. ALWAYS save the original codeplug, in multiple safe places, in case this happens.
