If your codeplug is large the string will be pushed back. You need to look farther along for the MLM string.

You would be better off by loading a simple one channel code plug in the radio. Do your bit banging and then clone your code plug back in.

It should, I have had the same problem with certain radios. No rhyme or reason, even with the same code plug. What I do when I hit that problem is find a few of the hex codes that are not too common in the option string, like 84. Then I start at 6200 and just keep going. Eventually you will find it. Now make sure it is the right string, I have run into where you get about one halve of the string and then the rest of the data is different. Make sure you have ALL the same string, or you can really screw the radio up. I have done about 20 Spectra's and made them 250 mode with Type II trunkning, I havn't bricked one yet, by making sure I have the right string before modifying.
