Saber midband RSS hex edit help.

Post by n7jei »

Any tips on where to hexedit Saber RSS to move the midband lower frequency limits? I have an H42QXJ Saber-I I'd like to experiment with (74-88 split). I have sucessfully completed the repeater-builder 144 hex edit, but haven't been able to figure out where the midband limits are hiding. I've also tried building a code plug with the other midband split, but the radio is smarter than I am and won't take it. Repeater-builder doesn't have any data on the 66-84MHz modules to consider looking for some.

Also, if anyone has any midband sabers (or antennas) for sale.....

FYI, I tried the same approach at repeater-builders for hex editing and sucessfully changed the band limit in the RSS. Now to see how far it will go.
