Are they compatible with motorola direct talk used on nextel?
also i have seen pic's of motorola dtr's in sales bochures with what looks to be full 1/4 wave antenna's, but all the radios i have seen in the field have the little stubby antenna's.
why are there no or very few dtr's with full 1/4 wave antenna's?
is it possible to swap out the stubby antenna for a 1/4 wave?

Re: Motorola DTR's
All the DTR's in my neck of the woods are not using stubbys.... So yes you can swap them out. Mine originally came with a stubby (got mine at a different time)
Re: Motorola DTR's
They have 2 production runs on the DTR's. Older units do not have removable antennas, and newer ones do.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the DTRs are not compatible with Nextel Direct Talk, but I can't seem to locate those posts right now.Batman wrote:Are they compatible with Motorola Direct Talk used on Nextel?
