Power level adjustment HT1000 help

Post by RadioSouth »

Hi all,
Looking to change power levels on my HT1000's, have changed other type radios just by adjusting levels, up,down while watching my wattmeter and PS current. The HT1000 is a bit more complicated, there's about 7 softpot adjustments at various frequencies. Can I tweak each softpot a couple of number up or down without throwing anything off ? (Don't have a service monitor)

The different 'soft pot' points are aligned to have the transmitter power even across the band.

You can reduce the transmitter power in the Mode menu by selecting the TX Power, 1, 2 or 4 watts.

Or reduce the settings a couple of "numbers" in the TX alignment menu(s).
