Error 4-1379

Error 4-1379

I'm trying to read my 750 with one of those ribless cable vis CPS R06.04.00 but got the error 4-1379. What's this error code means?
Motorola: 900Mhz GTX, Spectras, Gm300, Maxtrac, Desktrac, MT2000, MTS2000, EX600XLS, HT750.
Icom: IC756, IC706
Kenwood: F6A

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

I read the thread and down grade the CPS R6 to R4 AA (my 750 is AA). Still getting the same 4-1379

Have you tried using "Current" CPS instead of older versions?

you have a mismatch between radio and cps. if your radio is a real ht750 then you need the us version of the cps. plus your cps is ancient, call motorola and order the correct cps and you'll be in business
