new xts2500 FC 5A9081-401307-1 zone problems

Post by shadowman »

gday all, i have a new xts2500 here with flashcode 5A9081-401307-1 from panter on ebay . it has the fpp option which is cool but i cant seem to delete the first zone of 16 channels wich are FPP channels i cant un check the fpp box either for zone 1.. and i cant add more channels to that zone either? yet i can add zone 2 and add as many channels as i want if i uncheck the fpp box which it will let me do on zone 2.3.4.5 and so on but not zone 1? ive also noticed that i can only have 32 channels assigned to a MDC system? can anyone shed some light on this ? as id like to have zones 1 and 2 my normal use non fpp setup and then have zone 3 of 16 fpp channels. cheers all

zone 1 is fixed with 16 channels on fpp past host 9. I have done cp's with an extra zone or so (non-fpp) as the last zone after the 1 -15 fpp zones. name that non-fpp zone 1 (even though it is not) and make it the home zone. Name the fpp's with the consecutive #s of zones following the "last" zone. If you wanted lets say more than one qcII set available in the first zone, that was the reason I did it that way. With normal FFP zones there is only one mdc, qcII, astro personality available for all fpp zones. By naming the last zone(s) as 1, 2 etc... you can "think" of it as zone 1.

By the way, I currently have a set of the same 2500's you have and it works great. If you only wanted one fpp zone?, you could make yourself think it was last and name your others accordingly. The radio still knows where it is.
