Dual W3 heads on Astro Spectra / XTL5000

I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight into the configuration of two W3 heads either on a Astro Spectra or XTL5000. I have tried it on the astro spectra with limited success, and it seems to almost work fine on the XTL5000.

I tried installing JU12 (Dual Control) on one of the heads, and that seemed to improve functionality on the XTL. Does this jumper need to be installed on both heads? Is there any relationship/requirement to install JU11 on one of the heads to change the SB9600 addressing?
