What is the difference between the CP200 and the PR400?

The way one goes about comparing radios that you know little or nothing about is to do Google searches
for them, and these searches will usually include the Motorola sites where you can look at and copy the
manufacturers' specification sheets and photos of the radios. Different Motorola radios are often made for
various world markets, oftentimes not including the United States, and such radios are not serviced in the
US, so watch out for these kinds of situations.

i have done google searches but most of them are like not useful. I only post things on this site about radios after i tried google.

They are basically the same. The PR is capable of LTR trunking. The CP is not.

The PR400 also comes in models with full keypad and displays, can support more channels (up to 64), can ENCODE signaling formats such as MDC and Quick Call, and also support user selectable PL/DPL.

As for as Motorola goes, if you enter their website they have complete data sheets on their current line radios. Some other older radios can also be found on their website as well.

PR400 has option for more than 1 scan list.
......I understand what the package says sir, but you cannot talk 28 miles with 3 AA batteries.......

Plus you can order Fm/Intrisincally safe option on PR400.Not available in CP200/CP200XLS
