MTS2000 900MHz ham band

Post by Zach489 »

Hello, I know this topic has been answered before but I had a hard time following the process so I figured I'd have better luck asking myself. I have an MTS2000 H01WCH4PW1CN, h37, 5.65 firmware. I'm using CPS 2.02. What would I have to do in order to convert this to 900MHz ham band?

thanks guys!

You will have to edit the CPS to allow you to program out of band frequencies. It's not hard at all. The Jedi's are great radios for 900MHz ham use.

Also SOME Jedi's will not TX on simplex at 927MHz. To make them TX on simplex requires LAB TOOLS RSS, but with your firmware you most likely have tool-proofed firmware. If that is the case getting it to TX on simplex get a bit harder, but it can be done.

Here is a link that will cover the CPS out of band mods

As far as the 927 simplex, don't worry about that till you get your CPS edited and give it a try. If it does not TX at 927 simplex then let us know.

Good luck.
