Below are the current prices should you want to get your ASTRO25 gear upgraded from Motorola. The prices below do not include the $150 service fee for the depot to do the work. This information is from the Businessonline spreadsheet that they have made available. Also note that they will do model 1&2 radios to model 3 versions. This should help with "how much would this cost" questions. If your an agency with a decent contract, you may have better pricing, but usually not by much for after-the-sale upgrades.

No discounts on software flashes. You can save the $150 service charge and do it yourself if you have the
program and programming cable. Your local motorola rep can put in the order for you. You'll
need the model / serial number / current flash code and plenty of cash!

Motorola posted a spreadsheet (on MOL) that allows you to upgrade your portable. You can add options at this point (items typically handled via flash upgrades too). The spreadsheet allows you to select a specific upgrade just like you mentioned (for a set price ) and then add their $150 service charge to do this for you. If all your wanting to do is a flash upgrade to
add an software option, its way cheaper, (if you have the program and program cable) to get a USB flash upgrade key
and do it yourself.
Motorola's spreadsheet is called "Subscriber Estimate of Upgrade Form (07 Jul 2010 Microsoft Excel Document 100KB)"
I ran this spreadsheet, and it says to convert a model I to model III is $849.00 plus the $150 labor for a total of $999.
Model I to Model II is $525.00 plus $150 labor, for $675.00.
If you had a yellow cased radio before the upgrade, it would come yellow back to you after the upgrade too. I asked them
about stuff like this and they said that if you had specific options, such as an "R" model, the radio would come back that way too. They just won't return the original front face that was on the radio when sent in. (I asked).
