Need help putting together an Astro Spectra with HHCH

Post by vorndamr »

Ok, tomorrow I'm going to the local Motorola Dealer to look on line at the different Manuals offered. Some direction would really help before doing this. I.m trying to put together a Dual Radio Astro Spectra with a HHCH. So far I have a high power astro spectra VHF radio with a HLN5558E Control Board, a HLD6063D and a HLN6468D boards at the front of the radio of which one I suspect is the connect board. I also have a YLN1120A SIU Box and a HMN4044D HHCH mic.

So I need a cable to go from the radio to the SIU box. Any idea of the part number? :-?

Besides the standard power connection, is there any Yellow, red, or green wires attached to some cable that I need? :-?

And finally do I need a different control board? :-?

I've reviewed previous posts on this forum, Batwings Lab, and Mike B's site. I've found bits and pieces, but nothing solid on how to put all of these paper weights together. Thanks for any advanced help. Rod K9ROD PS Mike B's site lists all of these parts as Astro Spectra equipment.

The dual radio HHCH Astro Spectra setup uses two standard drawers, special cables, the special SIU box and an A3 control head, not a W3. IT SUCKS!!! (well at least I think so, they should have done it with the W3). Anyway I believe I have all the cables, HHCH and a smoked SIU box. If you are interested let me know.

I just noticed, you have the wrong SIU box, that one is probably for a normal spectra dual radio setup. The astro uses the YlN1138A SIU.
