Destrac Power Supply Question

Post by Pump3 »

Are there any different versions of power supplies available in the Desktrac repeaters? I have a UHF Desktrac with a 5 watt LPI transmit radio, and I want to put a 30 or 45 watt PA on it.....so im wondering if Motorola just had a standard power supply for them or if there are different versions.....thanks guy :)

Yes one standard dual 115/220 line voltage power supply. When running up to 40 watts there is a duty cycle limit to keep the supply transformer from overheating. There is a thermostat inside the transformer.

The only difference was the plug-in addition of the battery revert components and connector.
