Motorola RIB Replacement Switch

Post by Mikey »

the power switch has went out of my RIB and i cannot find the part number for a replacment. My RIB is a RLN4008E and i have the Schematic for the older A and B versions that lists the switch part # as 40-80382B11, but Accesspoint cannot find that part number as usual. Please help as the power keeps going on and off and i have to keep "tapping" the switch, i'm afraid i'm going to brick a radio if i don't get it fixed.

REMEMBER:

Motorola consolidated part number nomenclature several years ago and consistently renamed parts to remove the 'dash' between the first two numbers and the rest of the part number. At the same time, they converted 'short' part numbers to the standard 10 digit part number as part of their database upgrade from their older inventory system which was no longer supported.

So, if your 80-xxxxxC90 part number doesn't come up, try converting it to the new format, 80 (no hypen or space) then eight more digits. IF your part was short a few numbers AFTER the dash, add leading zeros to the front of the part number after the hyphen.
