XTVA Amplifier

Post by rad2085 »

HI All

I have an XTVA installed in my car and i was looking for an amplifier to suit. I found these Radius Amplifiers modules on EBAY. Would I be able to use these to amplify the output of the XTS in the XTVA, I have included the information bellow.

Power Amp for Motorola Radius Mobiles, 465-495MHz, 40W

These power amplifiers were removed from new radios. They're great as replacements when doing repairs.

Part number: HLE3847A

Band: 465-495MHz

Power: 25W-40W

Used in M120 models: M44GMC00A4AA, M44GMC20A4AA

Used in GM300 models: M44GMC00D4A_, M44GMC20D4A_, M44GMC09D4A_, M44GMC29D4A_

Alternatively someone has a MOTOROLA N1671A 25W RFPA AMP MTVA UHF RADIO CONTROL listed also, this is for 800MhZ as far as I can tell. Is it possible just to change the PA module or would it have to be re tuned etc?

Thank you very much for any help

Kind Regards
Greg

No - the HLE3847A is the amplifier part of a maxtrac or radius series mobile - that add on ebay
is selling just that part of those radios.

The N1671A is part of an MTVA and is not usable on the XTVA series.

Motorola has supplied the TPL amplifiers with XTVA's and these work great.

Motorola's part numbers for these are below - i think i found these numbers
on this web site in another thread.

Power amplifiers (RFPA):
NLD1976 VHF
NLE1784 UHF 403-470
NLE1785 UHF 450-512
NLF1258 800
