Motorola GP-380 voice storage functio help

Post by Vincenzo »

Good evening,
I have two radios Motorola GP-380, one it is in VHF band (model: AZH25KDH9AN6) (software version: R03.08.08, codeplug R6.00) bought used and they have told me that it is Asian version and the other one is in UHF band (model: MDH25RDH9AN6AE) (software version: R03.12.03, codeplug R7.00) bought new in Italy near an authorized retailer.
In that in VHF band I have programmed the button of voice recording and I succeed in recording all, while in that in UHF band when I program the function of voice recorder I don't succeed in recording nothing. I make sense of better me: I press the button of recording and I press again later it to listen to the message and I perfectly feel the recording, while doing it same with that in UHF doesn't feel him nothing, as if nobody had spoken.
Is possible that in the radio VHF the voice recorder there is instead of series and in that UHF it needs the optional board? Can someone help me?
In advance I thank.

Pleasure to see you again dear Andreas, after so much time.
Thanks for your answer.
But how come does the model VHF have this function? I have not opened the radio to see if some optional board is installed on. That VHF I have bought her used and therefore I don't know if even the board were installed. The person that has sold me him has not told me nothing.
Thanks again, talk to you soon.

Look in the CPS help text for the voice storage option board.

The radio in VHF is with the voice storage function, but in the CPS I have not activated the optional board. Can I send you the codeplugs of both the radios to see if there is something planned badly?

I don´t have codeplugs for a radio with voice storage board, but you can set it in the radiomenu and the bitswitch,as I know.
The best is to open the radios and look for the option board!
