can anybody tell me how to disable the scan modefrom xts1500 800mhz trunking?
The radio is program to enable scan using a side button, but once is enable the only way to disable the scan mode is keying the ptt, or turn the radio off/on. it should be like that? or there is another way to disable the scan mode?

The side button should allow you to toggle the scan mode on and off. Unless one of the personalities is set for Auto Scan, it sounds like there is a problem with your radio.
And if there is a personality set for auto scan, the radio shouldn't wait for the side button to be pressed before entering scan mode, hence the title "Automatic Scan".
