Motorola XTS3000 yellow housings?

Post by SoCalRescue »

Hi all! I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find an XTS3000 model 2 yellow housing. I have been looking all over the place for one and would really appreciate any tips on finding this piece without having to pay Motorola hundreds of dollars. It doesn't have to be brand new but I'd like it to look nice. Any thoughts? Thanks guys and gals!

You might check Panter88 on eBay, he usually has a selection of housings.
"Archers."
"I beg pardon, sire. Won't we hit our own troops?"
"Yes....but we'll hit theirs as well. We have reserves....attack"

Another option is Fusion by Krylon, it's a specific spray paint for plastic that works well, sold at WalMart and they carry that safety yellow color, painted the bottom halfs of a few of mine.

Thanks for the responses guys. I am not the most technically inclined when it comes to servicing radios, therefore I will mess something up taking the case off to paint it. I have already checked with Panter88 and he doesn't have what I need... Go figure! I will keep looking and hopefully a kind reader will PM me wanting to sell me one! :P If there are any other suggestions out there, PLEASE respond.
