Speed Tech Lights; Experience anyone?

Post by JerryS »

Has anyone here on the boards have any experience with Speed Tech Lights?
https://www.speedtechlights.com/

They have some nice flashy lights. And I like the pricing. I would be using the lights on a service truck, so they will not be used as heavy as on an emergency vehicle.

Thanks

Three words...

Don't do it...

Their customer service sucks, their warranty replacement sucks, and you can better quality lights with a full 5 year warranty for the same prices you are looking at shelling out to STL.

I've got one of the sticks from them in red/red color. They aren't bad...pretty bright. Haven't had to deal with anything else though.

Bottom line: You get what you pay for. In my case, I got these free from someone else.

Primarily Rear Warning. Thinking of a stick, maybe something in the tail lights not so much to the front.

It will be on a minivan that I am using as service/construction.

I got a Whelen 8 TIR3 Super-LED Traffic Advisor & Control Head (P/N: WHTAM83) for 463.00 from Sirennet. I've been using it as just an arrow stick, but it does have more features. I'm very pleased with this light and it is super bright. I'd highly recommend that.

If you want inexpensive and good quality with a 5 year warranty, check out Axixtech.

If you want name brand, then Whelen, Code3, SoundOff.

LED or Strobes for the rear lights?
6 or 8 head stick? color(s)?

Yes, I sell and install lights, no, I don't care if you buy them from me or find a better deal. (I would like you to, but you gotta do what's best for you and your wallet.)

Please look at the posting dates in the thread. This one was over four years old.... Normally I would not edit, but it was a link to a light company and really no longer applies to this thread.

Thanks
