HRN 4002/4003 Info

Post by Tim »

Hi Folks,

I recently acquired a consolette with a VHF X9000. Big N Heavy!

Anyhow, there were two cards underneath the shelf, one was a HRN 4002B3,
and a HRN 4003B. I believe one of the boards is a DES board, as there are a couple
of ceramic boards marked TFN6061A & TFN6056A installed. There was also a keyloader
connector on the front of the consolette.

The other board has a couple of transformers on it, a DB-25 and a couple of RJ45
jacks, as well as a bunch of other parts.

Anyhow, was wondering if there is any information on these boards around, or
do they need to go into the circular bin.

Thanks,

Tim

Secure board and a tone remote adapter.

Why would you throw them away? Need a padded envelope? Are you going to trash the whole consolette and just keep the radio?

Hi 501, long time no see!

Took them out & rebuilt the consolette with a LB x9k.

Was really just looking for some info to see whether
they'd be of any use.

I'll keep you in mind before they go <away>!

Hmmm....

That's exactly what I did with my old consolette from the FD. I had to recap the head though, the display was really dim.

Thanks, and let me know!

Recapping the head?

I thought the VF displays were going dim because of age..
been scavenging displays out of NG heads.
