M120?

Post by n8jsn »

I just picked up a couple of M120's for my repeater.

Can anyone point me to a specific list of the 16pin Accessory connector for the M120?

No programming on the 2 channel units. If I remember pin 8 will go low on COR. All other pins should be normal.

Correct. By default, all of the 16-pin Radius mobiles use pin 8 for active low COR.

You need at least a 16-channel GM300 or a M1225 for programmable pin assignments.

Re: M120 Pin 8 as cor

I have two GM300's that show no action on pin 8 (cor) when carrier received.
I know this is a programmable pin, but does it specifically need to be programmed for COR?
From what I've read, pin 8 should go low when the radio receives a signal. Am I correct?

Actually that pin is RUS, receiver unsquelched, PL AND carrier squelch together to activate the RUS.

tnx,
If it's a 16 channel GM300, then the pins are programmable & you won't see any action on the pin if it isn't programmed. It doesn't even need to be pin 8, other pins can be programmed for COR as well.

The 8 channel GM300 and lower tiered M120 use pin 8 for COR by default. If you don't see any action on the pin, you may need to read the radio with the RSS set to 'repeater mode' (F6 option in the get/save menu screen) to access the accessory connector pins & set pin 8 for an active low COR.
