Need R2002B HV power supply
Hi Folks,
Looks like my HV PS in the 2002 is toast.
Anybody have one from a box they may have parted out?
Thanks,
Tim

Re: R2001 HV Power Supply
Sorry, don't have a high voltage module. You might want to specify which R2001 you have (A, B, C or D). The A and D models have version specific supplies. The B & C are the same.

Re: R2001 HV Power Supply
Hi Dave,
It's an R-2002B. Thought it was a 2001.
Thanks,
Tim

Re: R2001 HV Power Supply
The main thing is you have a "B" model. Check the electrolytic caps of the HVPS and , IIRC, there's a zener diode in the circuit that we replaced quite often.Tim wrote:Hi Dave,

Thanks Dave,
I'll check those out!

Re: R2001 HV Power Supply
Ok, I have tracked it down to the High Voltage board 'for sure'.
I've been able to 'emulate' the presence of the HV board with it removed.
(took a 12 ohm resistor).
Anyhow, anybody have a HV PS (that's known good) for the 2001/2002 'B' version laying
around?
thanks,
Tim

Re: R2001 HV Power Supply
I have replaced two 470uf caps on one board and am wondering what a component marked mx30 8221 is. it is a radial black component like a coil but has no continuity.
Re: R2001 HV Power Supply
Which board is is on? Inside the HV PS box, or on one of the boards mounted vertically in the low voltage cage?
Re: R2001 HV Power Supply
I believe you may be looking at the overtemperature switch. Mine is not marked, but the actual plastic is 1" long. It has a smaller diameter taper on one end. It is normally open.
Re: R2001 HV Power Supply
could be what it is. I replaced all the leaking silver electrolytic caps that i could find and will have to try the zener diodes. Physically, the boards look fine, nothing burnt or broken but the caps looked corroded under the plastic outer cover. It has not worked on ac for some time but has worked on dc until recently. I really need a schematic for the power supply.

Bump...
Still looking for a HV power supply.
My work bench is getting mighty tired of having this beast
in a jillion pieces!!
Anybody?
thanks,

Re: R2001 HV Power Supply
Can you, or anyone explain how to do this? I think I might have the same problem with a R2002C i'm fixing for a friend.Tim wrote:Ok, I have tracked it down to the High Voltage board 'for sure'.
