Modifying a MTX9250 for full 33cm coverage, TX and RX

Post by dependableengine »

It was with some disappointment that I learnt the MTX9250 doesn't cover below about 925 MHz RX due to the RX VCO being unlocked.

I've developed a simple mod that permits full RX from at least 896 to 941 MHz, and have done it up as a pdf document. I've posted it over at the AR902Mhz Yahoo group files area. If anyone would like to host it for those who don't like / want to sign up for Yahoo groups, let me know and I can send the file to you for hosting.

Good work! How do you tell if you have a 73.35 MHz 1st IF vs. a 109.65 MHz 1st IF?

Not sure how to determine, based on product ID alone, which are 73.35 and which are 109.65 IF types. I'm a Moto newbie, and the 9250 is the only M radio I have any experience with.

Ben, I'll send you the file soon.
