Odd Voice Pager Format

Post by mikegilbert »

Been going through my old recordings and found this odd voice pager format. I have the voice version and what seems to be a numeric pager as well. Any insights?

Thanks!

The last post sounds like the paging link frequency and sounds like POCSAG. Motorola used to make a Keynote voice/numeric pager that operated using the GOLAY format. That may be what you are hearing in the first example. It's been sooo long I don't remember what it sounded like over the air.

It has been nearly 20 years, but I worked for a paging company and had one of those SWEET voice/numeric pagers. I was the stuff!!
