I have an XiR M8268 Mobile with Firmware of R01.05.10 and CP Version 05.01.04
It does not use the US Version of the software.

That's great info. Have you fiddled around with the region codes at all? Does it even use region codes?

Not sure if it uses Region Codes or not, havent played with much other then the band splits to expand the 470 mhz beyond this.
