Just got hold of an XTS2500 M3 450-512 portable that has a FAIL 01/82 on it. I'm using 05.03.00 and when either I try to read it or program in another code plug of the same model, I get "Hardware Failure in Port or Radio Error Context: 23, Status 80004005.
And ideas? I've got other 2500 of different splits and can read/write to them without problems.

I bet it has firmware version 11.00.00 in it. This firmware is known for causing these issues.
Re: XTS2500 UHF Fail 01/82
IF it has Firmware 11 and it is showing 01/82 you will have to depot it... You had better hope you have legit tags on that radio...
Also - R05 CPS is crazy old... the current version is R15!

The bandsplit is only a suggestion.

There was no R05.03.00 Astro25 CPS. There was however R05.03.00 ASTRO CPS, which will not read your XTS2500, hence the error you are getting.b7spectra wrote:I'm using 05.03.00 and when either I try to read it or program in another code plug of the same model, I get "Hardware Failure in Port or Radio Error Context: 23, Status 80004005.

Stupidity creates job security!
If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..
CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

I am using R15.00.00 (I was looking at another codeplug when I typed the previous) and no joy. Lucky for me, I've got a Moto tech who is going to give it a whirl.
